John Muller is an ambitious, thoughtful and caring service provider who brings a significant mix of gifts and talents to the Carespring Corporate Leadership team. His impact upon direct care, customer service, organizational leadership, and corporate culture is felt throughout the Carespring Health Care network of facilities. Mr. Muller is not only a skilled physical therapist (licensed in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana) but also is a licensed nursing home administrator and holds a master’s degree in education in the area of health and exercise promotion.

After three years rotating through nearly every clinical situation a physical therapist can encounter at The Christ Hospital, Mr. Muller found a deep and genuine interest in geriatrics and was recruited to Highlands of Ft. Thomas as the Director of Rehabilitation Services. Three years later, Carespring recruited John to the corporate role of Vice-President of Rehabilitation Services, charged with the objective of reproducing his excellent track record of clinical and managerial outcomes at the other Carespring facilities. There are seven skilled nursing facilities with full therapy departments, one assisted living facility and an independent living facility with outpatient therapy. The results in terms of clinical outcomes, financial outcomes, and systems development and refinement have been desirable by any measure. Mr. Muller continues to produce these results working diligently, leading and teaching his professional and non-professional staff throughout the Carespring family of facilities. He is the primary expert within Carespring in matters involving the Medicare program, skilled utilization, rule changes and updates.

Mr. Muller has led several missionwide corporate initiatives including Carespring for Humanity, which mobilized employees in all of the facilities to participate and donate to Habitat for Humanity; and Carespring Vision, which is improving the corporate culture through the company-wide promotion and celebration of corporate news and policies via televised news and messages to the facilities. “Teaching and training our staff to deliver the same high quality, clinically excellent therapy product throughout our facilities is what is really driving me at this point in my career,” John has said. “And now we’re able to communicate that past the realm of the therapy departments to all of the Carespring departments and facilities.”

John’s wife Terri is a licensed social worker who is currently the Director of Admissions for Highlands of Ft. Thomas. The Mullers live in Ft. Thomas, KY with their three children, Liza, Luke, and Lily. They are active in the community with the parks department of Ft. Thomas and the Campbell County YMCA.

John is a native Hoosier, born and raised near Evansville in Newburgh, Indiana. He received his Associate Arts degree from Danville Area Community College in Danville, IL where he played basketball and was a NJCAA Academic All-American on a team that finished 7th in the nation. Mr. Muller then attended Indiana University South Bend where he achieved NAIA Academic All- American honors. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from IUPUI in 1996 and Master’s of Education from the University of Cincinnati in 2006.
